Need some Assassin's Creed : Brotherhood help...?

I'm at this point (DNA sequence 7 or 8 I think) where the next part of the game (the ! mark) will not appear on my mini-map but it will on my main map. When I travel to the area that it is supposed to be, there is no mission starter or anything. Does anyone know what I need to do/any help?
